I thought the people on EA Chat would have better capacity to fix the problem than they apparently do. I know they tried, but this is pretty clearly an issue on EA's end and I can't fix it for myself. I paid for a digital download that I didn't receive and I've been trying a number of things off and on since. I don't have an option to even start the download, so it's not getting interrupted. I contacted support via chat and was given any number of troubleshooting options, including posting on the wiki. That's still true with a fresh install of EA Desktop now, along with several other games that are in its library but it does not recognize me as owning. Despite the game being in the EA Desktop library, it did not register me as owning a copy. What's more, I installed EA Desktop beta last year to try to download it there. And I've gotten a new computer, so with a completely fresh install I can assure you that this is not on my end. No grey download button, no option whatsoever. I thought since the Fatesworn DLC was not to be released until December 31, 2021, that maybe for some reason my game wasn't activating until then. They ran me through a process of clearing caches. I contacted support at some point in the past after multiple attempts to get the game to download. Most of my games have that info under Game Info. I've been informed that there is a registration code I just don't have access to it.
The registration code is not visible, but that's the case for several other Origin digital downloads that actually can be downloaded and played as intended. Instead, the orange button in Origin allows you to view game details. If you take it a step further and check in Control Panel under programs, it isn't installed. However, if you click on the tile, there is no option to play it, nor any option to download it.
There is no download button, making the tile appear as if the game were installed. However, ever since then, I have had no available option to download that game.
I know this for sure from the email I received, from the fact that it's in my purchase history, and from the fact that it shows up in my game library. All the way back on November 29, 2020, I purchased the deluxe edition of Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning via Origin.
